Wet Plate Collodion Photography
Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending a course on wet plate collodion photography at the Double Negative Darkroom in Hackney. The course was run by John Brewer over 2 days. The first day introduced us to the process used to make ambrotypes (glass positives) made using the wet plate process on large format cameras, the second day covered tintypes and allowed us to practice the process in different conditions. I can highly recommend the workshop and I understand that John runs these in London, Manchester and France over the year. Anyone interested in alternative photographic processes should check him out at www.johnbrewerphotography.com.
